This is predominantly a business development role and the fist task will be to identify new clients and projects.Ideally the candidate will introduce the product at the design stage when new exploration/production sites are being built, or when existing sites are being modified.
The customers will include Maintenance Engineers, Design Engineers, Purchasing team and Project Directors within Oil & Gas projects.
In others words, the successful candidate will take on the following responsibilities:
- To maintain relationships with existing and potential customers through regular contacts and to provide up to date sales data/reports;
- To prepare proposals for the clients;
- To be able to identify all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process;
- To be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle;
- To manage the sales, administration and operations functions within the African base;
- To maintain adequate resource and stock levels to meet customer requirements and business plans and to obtain maximum use from equipment and manpower with an efficient schedule;
- To generate appropriate management information relating to the business;
- To generate sales and profit growth;
- To monitor and manage the operational effectiveness of the base (ANGOLA) including cost control and reporting monthly on key KPIs;
- To adhere to all Company policies and procedures relating to safety, quality, IT and to ensure all direct reports are aware of these and comply.
Profil recherché
Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base, a self-starter and not averse to travel, the candidate will be a qualified engineer who has had a proven sales track record within the Oil & Gas industry in Africa.
